This is the 19th day since Dad has passed away, but it feels like it was just yesterday. From this year onwards, celebrating Father's Day will be very different from before.

I still retain a vivid memory, about this time last year, I had one personal conversation with my dad, which inspired me to draw the Father's Day story entitled "I Want To Be Like You". I just wanted to capture that feeling into art. Unexpectedly, a year has passed and has changed a lot. Anything can just happen in a blink of an eye. Because of this pandemic, my father and grandmother were called upon to be with the Lord. The heart-wrenching aspect of the pandemic is that you lose the precious time you used to spend with your loved ones, and when the unexpected occurs, you may not even get the chance to say goodbye. It is agonising.

However, with no exceptions on this year, I want to immortalise this feeling into art. With that, I would like to give this belated Father’s Day gift to my father in Heaven. Probably you are also experiencing the grief of separation at this time, but just to let you know that you are not alone.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers in the world.
